Rebecca Elias, Actress/Dancer
Rebecca Elias has trained and received her acting coaching in Los Angeles as well as her homeland Trinidad and Tobago by two renowned Acting Coaches; Kirk Baltz and Rafael Noble. She also had the opportunity to receive Dialect Coaching from the infamous Joy Ellison in Los Angeles, California.
Born a dancer, Rebecca has always had love for a stage. Her first main breakthrough in Trinidad was when she was casted as the lead role for a music video production, “Farmer Nappy - Bellydancer”. The song was written and mused by her. Through this music video appearance she began to tour with Machel Montano and the HD Band through Trinidad and Tobago and a few islands. She is known mostly in Trinidad for her skills set in Belly Dance and has performed on stage with Belly Dance Superstar, Ansuya and Edward Maya.
Many opportunities came her way and she can be seen gracing the presence in music videos including “Kes The Band - My Girl”, “Soca Elvis - Monika”, “Buhwamoder - Bend Right Over”, and “Nicki Minaj - Pound the Alarm” to name a few. Other work included guest appearances in local films such as: “The Reef”, “Queen of Soca”, “John Tesoro” and “Between Friends”. She also landed appearances on international films and sequels such as “Locked up Abroad” and “Home Again”.
Rebecca gained more ground as she was casted to be the the main host for Triniscene.com’s live web series for Carnival two years in a row. This series was streamed live on the world wide web as well as Synergy TV and covered not only Trinidad Carnival but Miami Broward Carnival as well.
In Trinidad, Rebecca is continuously working on numerous television productions, theatre productions, print and voice advertisements, as well as web/television hosting. In the year 2011 she made her breakthrough on stage in Theatre and by the year 2012 she played leading roles in the following productions: “Alladin and the Trini Genie”, “Amar, Akbhar, Anthony”, “Three Muskateers” and “Sleeping Beauty and the Trini Prince”. She is now being featured as the co-host for Synergy TV’s popular car show “I Love My Ride”.
By day, Rebecca has a full time job as a Category Manager for the Ice-Cream Division at HADCO. Her portfolio consists of managing two major clients Nestle and Unilever. As demanding as her job may be she still finds the time to Model, Dance and work on television commercials including Digicel, Ministry of Culture, AXE, Ginseng Up, Bermuda Wheat Crisp, British Airways and American Airlines.
Rebecca has just finished working on the new Action/Thriller feature film, “Escape From Babylon”, Directed by Nick Attin and has already begun work on another short film, “The Amour Project”. With her consistent love and passion for entertainment and its industry, Rebecca will strive to go above and beyond to overcome any challenge thrown her way.
