Kirk Budhooram as Bill

Kirk Budhooram is an actor, writer, director, editor and producer from Trinidad and Tobago. He has two published novels, which are sold internationally. They are entitled, The Festival and Kirk Budhooram's Ibis Agents. He has starred in short movies such as Herman's Tales, Cool Your Head and The Kirk and Roxann Show.

He also acted in the feature films, UNICEF/MTV's Tribes, Little Boy Blue and 3-Line. He wrote and directed the dark, short drama, A Long Day Into Night, which aired on TV6. In 2007, he won PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD: BEST SHORT FILM at the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival for writing and directing the 13-minute short movie,Herman's Tales: Kidnapped. In Kris Rampersad's book: FINDING A PLACE: INDO-TRINIDADIAN LITERATURE (pg 8) it states, "Kirk Budhooram may be the first Indo-Trinidadian to have a murder/suspense mystery novel (THE FESTIVAL) published." 

He has a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine and worked as an engineer for 7 years.

He is currently completing his Masters in Fine Arts: Creative Writing. He started his movie career in 2005. However, he has been writing since he was 14 years old. He completed the NEW ACTOR'S WORKSHOP from the Trinidad Theatre Workshop in 2008. He hopes to see the Trinidad and Tobago film industry built to its full potential.
